Critical Thinking
What is critical thinking? How do we use it? Critical Thinking is the idea of being able to look at an object, situation, text, etc. and dissecting it, to understand all of its meaning and purpose. Not all of us can consider this our best skill, but everyone has some sort of "critical thinking" guide in them. Whether your trying new clothes on a store or watching a newly released movie, there is something inside you that makes you question things. Critical Thinking is all about asking questions and being able to answer your own questions. We are all free thinkers and critical thinking skills are something that everyone has no matter how intelligent you are. Now as far as bettering you critical thinking skills, techniques can be taught from one another in order to build your skills. Every person has their own view point on things and sharing your ideas on how you critically think with others can benefit us all.

I like the way you described critical thinking. It made me look at it differently because it is true that we ask questions and then try to solve them by ourselves before we ask someone else for help. I think we use critical thinking every day and your example of trying on clothes at a store is a good one. Nicely written post.
ReplyDeletei agree with you with the free thinking part and that we all have our own kind of critical thinking but as far as techniques go they can be taught many different ways.
